Here's how we plunge into the process
We believe in the power of a holistic, user-centered approach that encompasses all stakeholders involved in the design process. Our unique Design First methodology ensures that every aspect of your project is meticulously crafted to achieve optimal success.
Here’s how we do it:
How We Work
Most agencies hand you screens. We hand you clarity — on what to build, why, and how to keep improving it. Our process is designed to surface the right questions before we commit to answers.

Our Process
01
1–2 weeks
Understand
We don't start designing until we understand the real problem. Most project failures happen here — when teams skip straight to solutions. We invest heavily in listening, observing, and challenging assumptions before anything is created.
Stakeholder Interviews
We talk to your team, executives, and key decision-makers to understand competing priorities and hidden constraints.
User Research
Qualitative interviews, contextual observation, and behavioral data analysis to understand real user needs and mental models.
Product Audit
If you have an existing product, we audit it for usability issues, decision quality, and technical constraints that will affect design.
Competitive Landscape
We map your competitive space not to copy, but to understand where your real differentiation opportunity lies.
Output: Product brief, prioritized feature set, design principles, and measurable success criteria. Shared with all stakeholders for alignment before design begins.
02
1–2 weeks
Design
This is the most important phase — and the one most agencies skip. Before a single wireframe is drawn, we align on what we're building, for whom, and how we'll know if it's working. This is where product thinking happens.
Product Strategy Brief
A crisp document that captures vision, goals, constraints, and success metrics. This becomes the north star for every design decision.
Feature Prioritization
We help you decide what NOT to build — a critical skill that most teams undervalue until they've shipped something nobody uses.
Design Principles
3–5 guiding principles specific to your product that resolve design debates and keep the team aligned as the project evolves.
Success Metrics
Defining what good looks like before we start — user outcomes, business KPIs, and the leading indicators that predict them.
Output: Product brief, prioritized feature set, design principles, and measurable success criteria. Shared with all stakeholders for alignment before design begins.
03
3–8 weeks
Understand
With a clear brief, design moves fast and with purpose. We work iteratively — weekly reviews, early user testing, and constant pressure-testing against the principles we defined. Every design decision is explained, not just presented.
Information Architecture
Mapping the full product experience — flows, hierarchies, and navigation — before visual design begins.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Low-fidelity first, then high-fidelity. We test structure before we invest in polish.
Visual Design & UI
Pixel-perfect interfaces built on scalable design systems, aligned to your brand and built for your users.
Usability Testing
We test with real users at multiple stages — finding issues when they're cheap to fix, not after launch.
-
Output: Complete design system, UI specifications, interaction documentation, and a prototype ready for engineering handoff — with rationale for every decision.
04
1–2 weeks
Deliver & Govern
Launch is not the finish line. We help you ship with precision and then govern what you've built — measuring, iterating, and ensuring the product continues to serve its users well. For AI products, this phase is especially critical.
Engineering Collaboration
We work closely with your dev team during implementation — ensuring design intent is preserved in the final product.
Launch QA
Pre-launch review to catch drift between design and implementation before your users experience it.
Post-Launch Measurement
Setting up tracking against the success metrics defined in Phase 2 — and making sense of what the data tells us.
Ongoing Governance (Optional)
Monthly retainer for continued product iteration, AI governance reviews, and design system maintenance.
-
Output: A launched product, post-launch report with early signal data, and a prioritized backlog for the next iteration cycle.
Project Phases
We explain every decision
You'll never get a design without understanding why it exists. Every choice is documented and defensible.
We tell you when we disagree
If we think a decision is wrong, we say so — with a specific reason and a better alternative. That's what you're paying for.
Senior team, always
The people in the proposal are the people doing the work. We don't bait-and-switch with junior staff.
Weekly check-ins, always
No surprises. No going dark for three weeks and appearing with 200 screens. We work in the open.
Metrics-driven progress
We define what success looks like before we start, and we measure against it. No vanity metrics.
Scope change is a conversation
If scope changes, we talk about it openly — timeline, cost, and tradeoffs. No surprises on either side.
